‘what my family did during the war’ – new talks!

I’ve recently confirmed two talks for my 2010 ‘what my family did during the war’ tour, on the 26 January for the University of the 3rd Age Portsmouth Local History Group, and on 27 April for the Waltham Chase Branch of the Hampshire Genealogy Society.

The talk will be based on my research into the war time experiences of two of my ancestors. My Grandfather, Private Henry Miller, served in the Parachute Regiment at Arnhem, and my great-uncle Leading Stoker Thomas Daly served in the Royal Navy. As well as telling their stories, I will be talking about how I found out about them, and my thoughts as a young person.

I am also in talks with a number of other groups and venues locally and nationally, watch this space for news as soon as they are confirmed – you’ll see it here first!
